Dutch Uncles are an indie band from Manchester and cite influences such as The Smiths, King Crimson, Steve Reich, XTC and Talking Heads.
In early 2009, the band released an album in Germany with Tapete Records, a German label, recorded at Clouds Hill Studios in Hamburg.
The band returned in 2010 with their UK debut single The Ink and, soon after, the band signed to London label Memphis Industries and released the single Fragrant in November. The band's UK debut album entitled Cadenza was released in April, 2011.
