Neko Case brings her UK tour to Norwich Arts Centre on Monday (8pm) in support of her latest album Middle Cyclone, which came out through Anti-Records in March.
The album, Case's first release since 2006's highly-acclaimed Fox Confessor Brings the Flood, debuted at number three in the US Billboard chart and enjoyed widespread critical acclaim across both sides of the Atlantic.
Middle Cyclone was produced by Case with Darryl Neudorf and features Case backed by her touring band - guitarist Paul Rigby, bassist Tom V Ray, vocalist Kelly Hogan, multi-instrumentalist Jon Rauhouse and drummer Barry Mirochnick.
Numerous guests on the album included members of Los Lobos, the Sadies, the Lilys and the New Pornographers.
In addition to 12 new songs written by Case, Middle Cyclone includes covers of Never Turn Your Back on Mother Earth by Sparks and Don't Forget Me by Harry Nilsson.
Support comes from Black Gold - Than Luu and Eric Ronick, fresh from the vibrant, seedy Brooklyn underground. Black Gold have recently shared the stage with Panic at the Disco, Scissor Sisters and the Hold Steady in the US, and return to the UK in support of their debut album Rush which comes out on October 5. The album which is a collection of multi-layered synth heavy tunes features the single Breakdown which is released on September 28.
