Sheringham Lobster Potty Festival sees the town plays host to morris, clog and folk dance sides from from as far afield as Lincolnshire, Nottingham and the Channel Islands for its long-running annual dance fest.

The Lobster Potties side was formed in 1986 to raise money for Sheringham Health Centre - and they've never stopped performing since. This year around 20 sides will be out and about in the town centre offering plenty of tuneful spectacle.

The event kicks off on Saturday with a parade from Sheringham's RNLI car park at the Boulevard at 10am, with dancers heading for a number of town centre locations. Lunchtime entertainment at the main arena in Lifeboat Plain will include a turn from local songsters the Sheringham Shantymen, with dancers ranging from the Slubbing Billys from Colne Valley, to the Shinfield Shambles from Reading providing fancy footwork. The fun continues into the evening, with popular Norfolk group the Ugly Dog Skiffle Combo performing from 8pm.

On Sunday, dancers will perform at the town clock and main arena from 10.30am.
