The 'arts garden party of the year' is happening again at a north Norfolk home, following on from its successful first year in 2011.

Voewood Festival brought big names from the musical and literary world - including Adam Ant and Diana Athill - to beautiful Voewood House, the home of rare book dealer Simon Finch in High Kelling.

This year the festival will run from Friday, August 24 to Monday, August 27, and will feature a host of writers - and some 'chart-topping' British musicians whose names have not been revealed.

Visitors will be able to rub shoulders with their literary heroes - including DBC Pierre, Esther Freud, Gavin Turk and Kate Mosse - take part in lively debates and dine on Spanish delicacies during readings in the marquee.

There will also be theatre, literary counselling and the Bee Hive bookshop.

From 6-8pm each evening , HMS Sweet Charity will be on the decks, with other musicians to be announced.

Among the other names are Ali Smith, Andrea Wulf, Damian Barr, Deborah Curtis, Erica Wagner, Glen Duncan and the Real Tuesday Weld, Hanif Kureishi, Harland Miller, Isabel Wolff, John Niven, Liz Hoggard, Louisa Young, Martin Parr, Matthew Fort, Meg Rosoff, Mike Figgis, Miriam Darlington, Patrick Bareham, Paul Blezard, Polly Samson, Rachel Hore, Rachel Joyce, Sarah Jane Lovett and Raffaela Barker.

Tickets are now on sale, with 20pc off up until April 1. To book, go to www.voewoodfestival.com.
