Wombat wombat returns from its summer holiday with a gig at Norwich Arts Centre tonight (8pm), which is doubling-up as a farewell show for local band the Lidi Berlins who are splitting after three years together. Make sure you don't miss your last chance to be wowed by Lucy, Becky and Alex's rhythmic indie-pop skiffle-infested summery sounds.
Main support comes from dual-pronged boy/girl vocal attack from the rather more abrasive, Fall-esque Norwich quartet **** Dress.
Amsterdam-based We Be Naked are set to inject a healthy dose of Dutch angst-pop in to the mix with their jerky, female-led, fuzzed-up, sleazy indie sound.
Wombatwombat's auditorium bill is perfectly balanced by the opening band, Bury St Edmunds' duo, Alloy Ark, another young act that has created a buzz on account of their luscious vocals and quirky delivery.
Meanwhile Howlback Hum in the cafe/bar presents eLsuB, The Gore Vidals, The Winter Visitors, Follow Your Heart, Checkout Girls, Alex Sheppard and Mia Vigar.
