Liam Gallagher writes very bad songs.
But his old band have written some of the best songs in the last 25 years.
And Liam wants to showcase them.
Often when bands split up and the stars go their separate ways they try and write better songs. They usually fail. Liam understands what his audience want. They want Oasis.
And by god – he delivered.

'Whatever', 'Wonderwall', 'Cigarettes and Alcohol' and 'Live Forever' ... the secret set at Latitude was perhaps the best Oasis gig ever staged.
The crowd sang along with every word and Liam loved every minute.

The band mimicked Oasis as best they could. To be honest, it wasn't as good as when Noel was on lead but it wasn't fair off.
The biggest singalong of the night – and it was packed with songs to make everyone sing – was for 'Live Forever'. It was majestic. Always a truly beautiful song and time has made it better. Much better.
He played new stuff too. If you love Oasis you'll like it.
But if you truly love Oasis you wouldn't have noticed amid the swathe of classics. Cheers Liam. Memorable.
As you were.
