Holy Holy which includes long-time Bowie producer Tony Visconti and original Spiders from Mars drummer Woody Woodmansey will perform the iconic album in full.
The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars, released on June 1972 was the album that made David Bowie a superstar.
It was his biggest selling album to date fuelled by singles such as Starman and John, I'm Only Dancing, Rock'n'Roll Suicide and Suffragette City.
Ziggy Stardust became such a personality that it blurred the line between Bowie and his creation. Was Ziggy real? What was his relationship with David Bowie?
Now the album is to be performed in full in Norwich by a band that includes two of the late singer's collaborators who were closely involved in the album's creation.
Holy Holy, who play the Waterfront on April 2, comprises Tony Visconti on bass and Woody Woodmansey on drums, as well as Heaven 17's Glenn Gregory on vocals, James Stevenson from The Alarm on guitar and Berenice Scott and Jessica Morgan on keyboards.
As a member of Bowie's legendary band at the time - The Spiders From Mars - Woody played drums on four seminal albums: The Man Who Sold The World, Hunky Dory, The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars and Aladdin Sane.
Visconti worked closely with Bowie throughout his career producing with Bowie no less than 12 classic Bowie albums, from 1969's David Bowie to the singer's final album, Black Star, in 2016. He was at the controls for Young Americans and Bowie's classic Berlin-period albums Low, Heroes and Lodger. He was also involved in Bowie's post-2000 experimentation on albums like Heathen and Reality and his surprise comeback with The Next Day in 2013.
In 2014 Woody and Tony formed Holy Holy to perform The Man who Sold the World live, including at a date at the Norwich Arts Centre. After subsequent dates as far afield as Japan, the US and Canada, they are now repeating it with Ziggy Stardust, which will be performed in its entirety.
It comes ahead of two limited-edition David Bowie albums set to be released to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Record Store Day on April 22.
Live album Cracked Actor and a facsimile of a Hunky Dory promotion record will be made available as well as rare photographs and original Bowie prints.
Cracked Actor, recorded during the late music superstar's Philly Dogs Tour show at the Universal Amphitheatre in Los Angeles in 1974, will be released as a triple vinyl five-sided album with the sixth side featuring an etching of Bowie's logo at the time. The tapes from the live show were mixed last year by Tony Visconti.
Local shops taking part in Record Store Day include Soundclash in Norwich, Holt Vinyl Vault and Vinyl Hunter in Bury St Edmunds.
