Transforming Chapelfield Gardens into the ultimate comedy venue, Laugh in the Park is an established highlight of the summer arts and cultural event programme in Norwich. From July 26-29, a host plus three top comics will entertain audiences each evening in a full length laugh-fest.

'This year, we are thrilled to have Norwich favourites The Nimmo Twins for our opening gala, and Reginald D Hunter rounding things off perfectly on Sunday evening,' says Andrew Bunn, who co-organises the event with Derek Robertson.

'Chapelfield Gardens will be transformed into a fun-filled festival site, so be sure to arrive early to enjoy some delicious freshly-prepared food from our favourite festival foodsters Bite the Bullit, while Norfolk-based Grain Brewery are our main bar sponsor, and there will be chilled beers, lagers, cider and a selection of wines and fizz.

'From all of us at the Red Card Comedy Club team, and our sponsors Rogers & Norton Solicitors, we can't wait to welcome you to this year's Laugh In The Park and look forward to seeing you there!'

They are as much a part of Norfolk life as the Canaries, Norwich city centre traffic jams, and the Puppet Man (who they have been known to pay homage to). This legendary pair will perform two 45-minute sets at the opening gala show.

TIM FITZHIGHAM

Multi-talented adventurer, gambler, Spirit of the Fringe award winner, author and raconteur, Tim is a Norfolk-based eccentric known and loved for his crazy escapades and hilarious storytelling.

RAYMOND & MR TIMPKINS

Lightning fast choreography meets uber-swift editing in a fantasmagorical collision of velvet, rainbow knitwear and silliness. This is visual comedy like you've never seen before!

FELICITY WARD

A multiple award winning five-star Aussie comic, Felicity has won over UK audiences with her appearances on The John Bishop Show, Live at the Apollo and Mock the Week.

STUART GOLDSMITH

Emanating enthusiasm and energy, Stuart slips effortlessly from one routine into another, never losing a beat, and never failing to get huge laughs.

JARRED CHISTMAS

Jarred is a fabulously boisterous Kiwi with a dynamic onstage presence and just a hint of anger that takes the audience on a hilarious thrill ride of laughs and gasps.

Saturday, July 28

ED BYRNE

A household name from his many BBC TV appearances on Mock The Week, The Pilgrimage, Dara & Ed's Road To Mandalay, Dara & Ed's Big Adventure, Graham Norton Show, Have I Got News For You, Live At The Apollo and QI. Ed also has a passion for the outdoors, and has worked on various BBC factual shows. TV career aside, his live work has built up legions of fans both in the UK and abroad. Ed Byrne remains the observational stand up to see and his live work is not to be missed!

MIKE GUNN

Mike is a brilliant comic who walks that fine line between what is acceptable and what is guffaw-inducingly funny. His droll, morose, cynical outlook on life is skilfully mined for sparkling comedy gems.

MICKY P KERR

Leeds-based comic and social commentator Micky is a breath of fresh air with his fusion of music, spoken word and comedy, which he delivers with laid back assurance, and with his tongue planted firmly in his cheek.

JOHN MANN

Red Card original host and a popular gag-smith at clubs throughout the UK, John will keep the night rolling along, the jokes coming and the audiences laughing.

Sunday, July 29

REGINALD D HUNTER

Originally from Georgia, Reginald's laid back Southern accent and searingly honest material has garnered him a huge UK fan base. Don't expect cutesy comedy – comedy this brilliant is going to push a few boundaries.

LAUREN PATTISON

2017 was an amazing year for Lauren, winning both a Herald Angel Award and a Best Newcomer nomination at the Edinburgh Fringe. This robust and impressive young Geordie has wowed the critics with her razor wit and feisty comedy style.

CHRISTIAN SCHULTE-LOH

It's not always a good sign when a German steps on stage – it either ends in world domination or in a Euro-pop performance. Schulte-Loh, however, doesn't try to sing and is an exceptionally funny guy.

CLINT EDWARDS

A charming and talented comic, Clint has toured with fellow Welshman Rhod Gilbert and regularly co-hosts The Bad Film Club at the Barbican in London.
