The holidays are finally here and what better way to celebrate in the sun than with a summer fete.

The Hillington Square Summer Fete in King's Lynn is back for its fifth year on Saturday, July 28 from 12pm until 3pm.

The square will be packed with food and fun for all the family, with music and games on offer throughout the afternoon.

West Norfolk mayor Nick Daubney will also supporting the fete and taking part in some of the activities on offer.

The fete will see entertainment from the Simon Rowe'd Show, Rollo The Entertainer, local singer Emily Blake, owls from Dawn 'Til Dusk and the square will even be invaded by a Dalek from Doctor Who.

King's Lynn Round Table 54 are on barbecue duties and King's Lynn's Police Cadets along with Red Watch from Norfolk's Fire Service will also be in attendance on the day.

Plus, there is a raffle to raise money for the King's Lynn Food Bank with prizes donated from a number of local businesses.

Robert Clarke, director of housing at Freebridge, said: 'Over the last few years the Hillington Square Fete has grown into a fantastic day, welcoming people from across West Norfolk, and we're hoping that this year's event will be bigger and better than ever.'
