King Lear is taking to the stage at the Maddermarket Theatre, in Norwich, this week.
The production of the Shakespearean tragedy, directed by Chris Bealey, is part of the city venue's Shakespeare at 400 Mini-Festival marking the 400th anniversary of the death of the Bard.
The show about the ageing ruler, his kingdom and his family opens on Friday and runs until Saturday, April 30.
As well as the on stage action, the production also incorporates film projection. Mr Bealey said: ''We play strongly upon the visual in our production, using a range of contemporary media to create uncertainty of perspective and to challenge perceived truths.'
