You've heard of Strictly Come Dancing - now it's time for Strictly Come Lancing...

A two-part summer spectacular at Southrepps continues this weekend.

The event got off to got off to a great start with a two-day music festival. Organisers said families travelled from as far away as Devon to see and hear bands including blues trio Spikedrivers and folk group Ezio.

This Saturday's fun will feature a tug-of-war, children's entertainment, falconry and music from the Ugly Dog Skiffle Band, plus a chance for wannabe knights to saddle up their steeds and compete in the Strictly Come Lancing jousting contest.

Knights, plus two assistants to form the back and front ends of their horse, will be provided with safe lances with which to have a tilt at their opponents. Entrants must register by Friday, August 28, and are being asked to design their own horse and armour.

To register for Strictly Come Lancing contact John Bryant on 01263 834030.
