Jazz musicians Kit Downes and Seb Rochford are returning to Kit's home county for a concert in North Walsham this month.

The performance at the Atrium is a family affair for Kit as he will be supported by The Choir Worstead, which has his mum Beverley as musical director and includes dad Paul in the bass section.

The concert on Friday, October 12, at 7.30pm, will include work rewritten for the choir by local composer Tony Bailey, who has penned Norfolk-inspired songs including Maid from Yarmouth Town.

Musician and composer Kit has had success with both his Kit Downes Trio and Quintet. The trio's first album in November 2009 was nominated for the Mercury Music Award in 2010. The quintet has just recorded a new album which will be released next year.

Seb, from Aberdeen, has also had plenty of success, drumming for the band Babyshambles, on the David Byrne and Brian Eno album Everything That Happens Will Happen Today and on Adele's Mercury nominated album 19.

Tickets cost 7.50 and under-12s go free. Visit www.nwatrium.org or call 01692 400080 or Helen Kelly on 01692 538941 to book.
