Former Pulp frontman Jarvis Cocker is the latest big name to be confirmed for the Latitude festival this summer.
The Sheffield musician, who is establishing a successful solo career, will play the main Obelisk stage on Sunday night, before Canadian indie-rock headliners Arcade Fire, who have been described as "Canada's most intriguing rock band" by Time magazine.
Also announced yesterday for the festival on the Henham estate, near Halesworth, were Paris-based electric tango artists Gotan Project.
Dublin singer-songwriter Damien Rice will be headlining on Friday night, while Damon Albarn's band The Good, The Bad And The Queen will be headlining on Saturday. The Magic Numbers, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah are among the other bands involved, as is DJ Rob Da Bank. There will also be poetry, theatre and film, including screenings organised by Bafta, question- and-answer sessions with directors, and a screening of Alfred Hitchcock's The Lodger accompanied by a live orchestra.
Weekend tickets for July 12-15 are £112 plus booking fee on 0870 060 3775 or at www.latitudefestival.com
