The singer-songwriter, who was the Best British Male Solo Artist winner at this year's Brits, will appear at High Lodge on Thursday, June 7, as part of the Forestry Commission's annual Forest Tour.

James was the biggest selling male solo artist of 2006 and his album Undiscovered reached number one in the charts.

Some of his classics include You Give Me Something, Wonderful World and Pieces Don't Fit Anymore.

"Following on from his recent success at the Brits we are delighted James Morrison has confirmed he will be appearing as part of Forest Tour 2007," said Forestry Commission concert manager Mike Taylor.

The gigs at High Lodge have been going for a number of years and are being expanded this year to include six dates over two extended weekends - June 7 to 9 and July 12 to 14.

Previous acts have been the Sugababes, Ian Brown, Status Quo, Embrace, Pet Shop Boys, Madness, Bryan Adams, Jamie Cullum, and Daniel Bedingfield.
