Platinum-selling singer-songwriter James Arthur could play a second gig in Norfolk as tickets for a performance this summer have nearly sold out.

The X Factor winner is playing an open-air show at Sennowe Park, near Dereham, in July as part of Outside Live's summer concert series.

Tickets for the concert on Friday July 27 went on sale yesterday (Friday February 24) and in just a few hours 80pc had been sold.

Event organisers are now in talks with Arthur's management about booking him for a second night.

Morris Muter, Director of Outside Live said: 'James filled arenas around the country in November with his sell out tour, most of those were at a 10,000 capacity, some even higher.

We can't fit that many into Sennowe Park which makes for a more intimate gig, even if we have to do it twice.

'His live shows are fantastic, full of emotion, great music, and of course, feature one of British music's most unmistakable and unique voices. Hopefully we can please more of his Norfolk fans by booking a second night, it certainly is needed.'

Originally from Middlesborough, the 29-year-old won the ninth series of The X Factor in 2012.

Since then he has released two albums, embarked on several sold out tours and been nominated for three BRIT awards.

He is best known for songs such as Impossible, You're Nobody 'til Somebody Loves You and Say You Won't Let Go.
