Castle Rising holds its final historical event of the summer this Sunday and Monday with a return visit to the West Norfolk venue of Buckingham's Retinue.
The year is 1483: Edward IV is still on the throne, but is currently unwell and possibly dying.
All the lords are now vying for position and influence; two of them, Howard and Stanley have decided to meet at Castle Rising for a friendly negotiation under the guise of a contest of arms and entertainment.
There will be demonstrations of fighting with various weapons, archery contests, tug of war and many other medieval games and pastimes.
t Adult £7, concs £6, junior £4, family tickets start at £18, English Heritage members half-price
