Gabrielle Aplin, an English singer-songwriter, rose to fame after gaining a large online following through posting acoustic covers on her YouTube channel which she created in 2008.
In 2012 she signed a record deal, and since then has seen great success. She was chosen to record a cover of Frankie Goes to Hollywood's The Power of Love for one of the infamous John Lewis Christmas adverts - which was most likely the event that rocketed her into the public eye.
As she took to the stage at Sunday Sessions, the crowds begun to amass to watch her perform.
Having been a fan of hers from early days, and not hearing so much of the recent music, I among others waited in anticipation of how her acoustic covers would translate to a festival stage.
Gabrielle Aplin managed it effortlessly, ensuring to throw in a handful of crowd favourites such as Home, Please Don't Say You Love Me and The Power of Love.
She was backed by a really talented band, and genuinely seemed to be enjoying her time on stage which automatically brings any performance up a level.
Her voice is angelic, effortless and beautiful, making her a fantastic addition to the many stage of Sunday Sessions.
