The 1914 First World War unofficial Christmas truce will be remembered at a free singing event this weekend.
Sheringham and Cromer Choral Society will be hosting the community Come and Sing event, open to anyone, at St Andrew's Methodist Church, Sheringham, on Saturday December 6. Registration starts at 10am for a 10.30am start. An informal concert will happen that day in the church at 5.30pm. One of the carols will be Silent Night sung in German and English, to remember when the servicemen played football in 1914.
