A line-up of music, theatre, traditional crafts and even an historical version of Play Your Cards Right will be entertaining visitors to the 2014 Worstead Festival.
The weekend of July 26 and 27 will see the village playing host to local bands, vintage vehicles, a full programme of ring events, dog show, stars from the Cromer Summer Show and an array of Norfolk food and drink.
The weekend kicks off on the Friday evening with the annual Worstead five-mile road race organised by the North Norfolk Beach Runners (register at www.nnbr.co.uk) and gates open on the Saturday and Sunday at 10am.
Attractions include the Norfolk and Norwich Medieval Association, Bewilderwood, Davenport's Magic Kingdom and crafts organised by the Friends of Worstead School, games and heavy horses alongside birds of prey.
The village hall will include craft stalls, an art show by local group NOVA with work for sale and an exhibition of old pictures and information about the history of the festival in preparation for its 50th festival celebrations in 2015.
Chairman Simon Cole said: 'The festival has a long and successful history and we really want to celebrate that next year. This year's exhibition is a chance for us to generate interest and find out what memories people have of the festival since it began in 1966.'
The festival remains a family attraction with organisers this year bringing back the Norfolk Parkour Alliance on the Saturday and drumming team Trix'n'Stix on the Sunday, as well as zorb balls and bungee trampolines.
The madcap Science in a Suitcase will return for walkabouts and pop-up shows and Kavanagh Tales promises storytelling with a twist on Saturday.
There's also something for sport lovers with a Tag Rugby contest and laser clay shoot.
Add to that rocket building and a Brucey bonus all round with the Cromwells in Historical Play Your Cards Right, a special festival version of the classic TV show starring Bruce Forsyth.
The festival's music line-up includes The Choir Worstead and The Booze Brothers, who will close the event on the Sunday afternoon.
Also playing will be Dumbfoundus on Saturday and Miserable Man on Sunday.
A number of award-winning chefs will be showing their skills in the Best of Norfolk Food marquee.
These include Roger Hickman of Roger Hickman's restaurant in Norwich, Steve Norgate of the Beechwood Hotel in North Walsham, Daniel Smith of the Ingham Swan, and Andy Snowling of the Animal Inns Group of pubs and restaurants with Madhu Choudhry of the Ethnic Fusion Cookery School.
Entry to the festival will be £5 per adult but it will be free for under 12s.
