Tickets for a north Norfolk concert by international folk artist Peggy Seeger are on sale.

Ms Seeger, supported by Yorkshire singer-guitarist Dave Burland and local folk group Blue Wing, formerly Uncle Walter's All-Stars, will be in concert at The Atrium on Spenser Avenue, North Walsham (NR28 9HZ), on Friday September 18 at 7.30pm.

She is also headlining the opening concert of Samfest 2015 – a four-day Winterton event to remember the late Norfolk folk singer Sam Larner - on Thursday September 17.

Ms Seeger and husband Ewan MacColl recorded ex-herring fisherman and singer Sam in his native Winterton-on-Sea in 1958-60 – introducing him to a worldwide audience.

She has been a leading performer on the international folk scene for more than 50 years as a musician, songwriter, political campaigner and humanitarian.

Ms Seeger worked with Ewan MacColl and producer Charles Parker on ground-breaking Radio Ballads including Singing the Fishing.

Earlier this year Ms Seeger and her son Calum MacColl received the best original new song award for Swim to the Star at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards.

North Walsham concert tickets cost £13 and are available from Arts North Norfolk at No 1 Market Place, North Walsham. Call 01692 218060 or visit www.artsnorthnorfolk.org
