A young contemporary indie folk band will be playing a series of gigs along the north Norfolk coast for a disability charity.
The Tin Pigeons Run to the Coast Tour 2014 will be performing at the Wiveton Hall Café on Sunday August 17 from 7.30-10.00pm and the Crown Inn, Sheringham, on Monday August 18 from 2-5pm.
During the tour, The Tin Pigeons from Rutland, will be raising money for Disability Rocks which is a non-profit organisation that helps people living with disabilities of all ages to enjoy and get positively involved with music and art events nationwide.
Likened to Mumford & Sons and Noah and the Whale, The Tin Pigeons is made up of George Norton, 20, on vocals and banjo; Fraser Norton, 18, on vocals, guitar and mouth organ; Tom Quemby, 20, on bass guitar and kick drum; Douglas Tawn, 20, on vocals and mandolin; and Benedict Swindells, 17, on cello.
The band formed in 2011 and their music includes rhythmic toe tapping songs, soulful harmonies and covers.
They are currently enjoying recognition in the music industry and in addition to regular live appearances and plays on local BBC Radio Rutland, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire they won the Cambridge Folk Festival young musician award in 2012.
