Norfolk and Norwich Festival is giving 150 more people the chance to see a jazz great in concert. The festival is releasing the extra tickets for performance by jazz legend Jacques Loussier and his trio on Thursday May 5 because of public demand.

Loussier is known across the globe as the master of interpretation and improvisation, and is famed particularly for his jazz adaptations of the works of Bach, Handel, Beethoven and Chopin and is the man behind the famous Air on a G String, aired in 'that' Hamlet cigar advert.

Loussier will be playing in the round at St Peter Mancroft Church in Norwich alongside his long-standing trio, Andre Arpino on drums and Vincent Charbonnier on bass.

The Norfolk and Norwich Festival will run from May 4-15 this year, including jazz, classical and chamber music, theatre, family events and outdoor spectacles.

Tickets for the Jacques Loussier concert are £5-£30 on 01603 766400. Full details about the festival at www.n-joy.org.uk
