Norfolk police annual gala day - the biggest event of its kind in the country - takes place on Sunday and EDP readers will have the chance to get their hands on a special swag bag the mark the occasion.

Norfolk police annual gala day - the biggest event of its kind in the country - takes place on Sunday and EDP readers will have the chance to get their hands on a special swag bag the mark the occasion.

The 30th gala day will be opened by celebrity guest Midsomer Murders and Bergerac star John Nettles at the Norfolk Showground at 10am. There will be trade and charity stalls open all day and the fire and other emergency services will also be taking part.

The force's police dogs will be receiving awards and BBC Radio Norfolk's Old Car Rally Parade is also being held to coincide with the event.

Ring displays include the world-renowned Honda Imps junior motorcycle display team.

There'll be special emergency displays at the showground's Lake too, plus a Youth Village, music and dance and more.

All visitors will be able to pick up an EDP special swag bag created specially for the occasion including water, snacks, sweets, a toy and a copy of the newspaper. The bag costs £2 and can be collected from the EDP stand.

The charities which will be fundraising at this year's event are Balloons 4 Hearts and The Samaritans in Norfolk.

The event runs until 6pm.

Entrance to the event is £15 for a family, £6 for adults and £3 for children.

Police staff can enter for half price on the production of staff identification.
