Once again it is hard to find fault in yet another flawless performance by the Midlands four-piece Editors.

In the last six months they have developed into a polished and exciting on-stage band.

Their stage decoration is better and complete with cleverly lit backsheets and standing lamps on the amps.

Their music is tighter.

And Tom Smith is a far more flamboyant frontman leaping, jumping, running from one side of the stage to the other and sporadically banging his head with his hands.

But their third offering was what everyone in a packed UEA had been waiting to hear, some new material.

After a fantastic debut album The Back Room, the question on the crowd's lips was did Editors have anything up their sleeves to rival it.

And the answer? A resounding yes. The new material was as carefully constructed and as beautifully delivered as any of the singles.

But it was the crescendoing guitar and frantic drumming of Bullet that was the high point of the night with the whole audience jumping along.

Open Your Arms was an imposing finale, only to be superseded by an incredible encore of Fingers in the Factories.
