Comedian Jim Davidson looks set to ignite his love hate affair with Yarmouth when he performs for two nights at the resort's Britannia Pier.
Mr Davidson will be entertaining the crowds with his quick fire lewd humour on Friday August 22 and Monday September 1 as part of his national The Devil Rides Out tour.
For the comic, the return to one of his favourite haunts brings back bitter sweet memories after he ploughed a small fortune into trying to successfully run the town's Wellington Pier until 2001.
And then in 2003 Mr Davidson sparked outrage after he said Yarmouth's sea front was full of over weight people in flip flops and fat children of all colours and no class.
Last night he told the EDP he was looking forward to his return to Norfolk but said he was still upset about the way other people failed to support his bid to operate the Wellington Pier.
Speaking from his current home in Dubai Mr Davidson said: “I think I will still get that great buzz from performing in Yarmouth.
“All I said in the past was that Yarmouth was being ruined by people coming in from other places. I am certainly no snob.
“As for running a pier my advice to anybody considering it would be to fly to the Tora Bora mountains in Afghanistan and hide in a cave instead.”
Tickets for the two evening shows cost £18.50 and can by ordered by calling the box office on 01493 842209.
