A classical concert will be taking place in a town church in aid of a creative arts festival for children.

Pianists Maki Sekiya and Ilya Chetverikov will be playing in the Church of St. Andrew the Apostle in Holt on Saturday February 22 at 6.30pm.

The concert is free but donations can be made towards the Festival of arts and literature for children of Norfolk, known as FALCON, and church funds.

FALCON is aimed at primary school children and last year's summer event included mad science, den building storytellers and shadow puppets.

The concert will feature pieces by Bach, Chopin, Tchaikovsky, Schubert and Prokofiev.

Tokyo born Maki Sekiya was hailed as 'the piano prodigy of tremendous inner rhythm and vitality' by the Evening Standard when she was just 11-years-old.

She is a regular soloist with a number of orchestras and festivals.

Ilya Chetverikov is an international performer and was brought up on the rich tradition of the Russian piano school.

More fund-raising classical concerts will be taking place over the next few months in the church and the next one will be on May 31.
