An elaborate theatrical spectacle is set to take to the stage in north Norfolk next month - and there is still time for people to join the show's cast.

Wolf's Child is one of the headline shows for this year's Norfolk and Norwich Festival and will see the grounds of Felbrigg Hall, near Cromer, transformed into a mysterious twilight world full of shape-shifting characters.

The promenade performance is being created by theatre makers WildWorks, and there are still places left for people to join the production.

Sarah Witcomb, from the Norfolk and Norwich Festival, said: 'Rehearsals have already begun but it's not too late to join in. 'We're really excited about how the production is coming together and this is a really unique opportunity to work with one of the biggest festivals in the UK but also one of the foremost outdoor theatre companies in the world.'

In particular, the festival is looking for:

Women to join the Maid's Chorus, an ensemble of 15 to 20 performers.

Artisan wood workers who can show off their skills during the show.

Men and women to be crow stewards and guide the audience through the woods.

Fit and agile performers to support the show's 'wolf pack.'

Sarah added: 'You might be someone who already likes acting or you might have no previous experience – everyone is welcome. If you like theatre or just want to try something new, then we would love to meet you. For the wood work role, no acting will be required; we simply want to see you doing your craft.'

The show will be performed at Felbrigg Hall from May 5 to 23, and ahead of this the following workshops will take place at Felbrigg:

Wednesday, April 22 6-9pm - crow stewards workshop

Thursday, April 23 6-9pm – maid's chorus workshop

Sunday, April 26 10am-6pm – all participants

Monday, April 27 6-9pm – crow stewards

Tuesday, April 28 6-9pm – crow stewards

Wednesday, April 29 6-9pm - woodworkers

Friday, May 1 6-9pm – maid's chorus workshop

Sunday, May 3 1.45pm–10pm – all participants

During the performance run from Tuesday, May 5 to Saturday, May 23, performers will need to be at Felbrigg by 6pm. A 5pm bus from Norwich to Felbrigg will be available as well as car shares.
