The secret life of bugs is explored in a new exhibition at the Wisbech and Fenland Museum in Wisbech.

Titled 'Summer of Bugs', it is dubbed as a 'quiet look at the world of bug collecting from the past'.

A series of larger-than-life insect paintings by artist John Pembry bring these fascinating critters into sharp focus, and children who visit are able to draw and colour their own drawings of insects.

These drawings will be included in a folder that will also go on show.

There is also a display of model insects made from plastic milk bottles in the nature sanctuary garden at the museum. Children will also be able to add their own models to the display.

The exhibition is open until September 30 and the museum is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 4pm.

Admission is free, call 01945 583817 for more information.
