The moving ceremony of Beating the Retreat is one which strikes a chord with many and there will be a wonderful opportunity to see it played in full style in the beautiful setting of Bergh Apton Manor later this month.
The Minden Band of the Queen's Division will be performing the ceremony on Friday July 25 and the evening will include a fireworks display. You can take a picnic with you, and the car park opens from 6pm.
Tickets are available by calling 01508 480439, from the EDP's office in Norwich or online at www.edp24.co.uk. Funds raised from the evening will be shared between the Army Benevolent Fund's support for the families of 1 Royal Anglians who gave their lives in Afghanistan and the building fund for a new Bergh Apton Village Hall.
