Viewers from around the world will soon be able to see the Mid Norfolk Railway in Dereham feature in the popular BBC television drama series Bodyguard, with Netflix acquiring the rights to broadcast the series to viewers outside the UK and Ireland.
The railway station in Dereham featured heavily in the first episode of the series as PC David Budd, played by Game of Thrones star Richard Madden, successfully prevents a terror attack on a train.
Filming at the station took place in January earlier this year, with around 100 crew members visiting the town for six days.
Rights to show the drama, made by ITV owned production company World Productions, have been bought by Netflix and subscribers based outside the UK and Ireland will be able to watch the first series from October 24.
Since the show was filmed at the station, Mid Norfolk Railway has experienced a boost in TV requests, with a German beer advert also recently being filmed there.
