A cafe area has been transformed into a new art gallery in a bid to attract more people to a market town and support local artists.
The Courtyard Gallery behind The Market Place Bistro in Aylsham has been modified to show off all kinds of creative works including photography, paintings, glassware, jewellery and wood sculptures.
Bistro owner Richard Baker, 41, said: 'The free exhibition will be a constant attraction. There is not a gallery in Aylsham at the moment. The business is not just a cafe with pictures, it is a pop-up gallery.
'It is about bringing something new to Aylsham and will provide a foothold to people in art clubs. I'm trying to generate footfall in the town - someone has got to take a chance and do something different.'
Mr Baker has run the restaurant for three years, which employs two full-time and four part-time staff, and turned the cafe at the back of the site into a gallery late last year.
