Controversial author Julie Myerson has cancelled her appearance at the University of East Anglia's Spring Literary Festival.
She will be replaced by UEA professor of creative writing Giles Foden, who will read from his forthcoming book Turbulence.
Myerson's publisher, Bloomsbury, has cancelled all public events in the aftermath of negative publicity for her book The Lost Child, which describes her teenage son's cannabis use.
The reading on May 20 takes place at 7pm in Lecture Theatre 1.
People who already have tickets for Myerson can use them to see Foden.
For refunds or to buy tickets, priced 6, call the UEA box office on 01603 508050 or visit www.ueaticketbookings.co.uk.
