Bentwaters Airbase in Suffolk will host some of the biggest names in electronica music - including Venetian Snares, Mira Calix, Luke Vibert, Tim Exile and Andrea Parker - for an evening of top-level performers and quirky installations called Faster Than Sound this Saturday night.

Forming part of the 59th Aldeburgh Festival of Music and the Arts, Faster Than Sound takes place over four stages, including two giant domes, and in the airbase's various hangars and buildings, including the Lightning Hangar and the enigmatic Star Wars building, recently used in Channel 4's show Space Cadets.

Featured artists will include Andrea Parker, Chevron, Cynthia Millar, David Alberman, David Purser, King Edward VI School Choir, DJ Scotch Egg, Luke Vibert, Max Tundra, Mira Calix, Mr Hopkinson's Computer, Solar X, Tim Exile vs Bella, UEA Electroacoustic Studios, Ultre, Venetian Snares, Zoë Martlew and the Sonic Arts Research Archive.

The event runs from 6pm.

Audiences can either drive to the event and park on-site, or get one of the Faster Than Sound coaches (pick-up points in Norwich, priced from £5-£15 - call box office to book a place).
