Steve Coogan - the comedian accused of putting Norfolk on the map for all the wrong reasons - is set visit the county as part of his first UK tour in 10 years.
The creator of Alan Partridge, the buffoonish Norwich-based radio DJ, will play three dates at the Theatre Royal on October 20, 21 and 22. He will play 40 dates in the tour entitled Steve Coogan is Alan Partridge and Other Less Successful Characters.
Coogan's visit to the city is bound to meet with a mixed reaction. In the past some have accused him of ridiculing the city while others revel in his take on Norfolk.
His last tour, The Man Who Thinks He's It, was performed in front of 350,000 people at 200 venues in 1998.
