It is nearly time to say goodbye to 2016 and welcome 2017 with open arms. If you don't have any New Year's Eve plans at the moment take a look at our guide to some of the parties happening in Norwich on the big night.

Organisers have promised that as soon as you step in it will be 2017. There are also VIP packages available.

• New Year's Eve Party, Waterfront, 9pm, £7-£10

Popular with party goers of all ages, 2017 will be welcomed in with a mix of indie, pop, hip hop, rock and retro classics.

• NYE Bash, The Brickmakers, 8pm, £7.50

Local band Enigma will get the crowd going before headliners Pure Passion take to the stage with a host of rock classics including songs from Bon Jovi and Meatloaf.

• Movie Night, The Talk, 8pm, £10-£20

The famous Oak Street venue is hosting a film themed night to welcome in 2017 with a fancy dress party. There will be prizes for the best dressed revellers with music until late.

• Mad Hatters, Mercy, 9pm, £15-£20

Alice in Wonderland comes to Norwich to bring in the New Year at one of Norwich's most well known nightclubs with table and drink packages available.

• NYE, Gonzo's Team Room, Free Entry Before 11pm

Ring in the New Year with funk, disco, 80s, hip hop and house before claiming your free glass of champagne for the midnight countdown.

• Love Saves The Year, North, 8pm, £10

Frank's Bar and North New Year's Eve Party will be fronted by a host of acts including DJ Liam Anderson, Sure D, Adam Javes.

• The Terrace Party/Dinner & Party, Rooftop Gardens, 8pm, £25-£95

There is a variety of food and drink packages available with live music from Felix Simpson and Bill Downs as well as a live stream to London's New Year's Eve countdown.

• New Year's Eve Big Fancy Dress Party, Carrow Road, 8.30pm, £15

Hollywood Glamour comes to Carrow Road for a night at the movies. Fancy dress is optional but there will be prizes for the best costumes.
