Three chart-topping pop acts from the 1970s are joining forces for the latest outdoor concert to be announced in Norfolk this summer.The Osmonds, David Essex and the Bay City Rollers sold tens of millions of records in their heyday and have teamed up for a Once in a Lifetime show which is coming to Blickling Hall on Sunday July 15.

The Osmonds, David Essex and the Bay City Rollers sold tens of millions of records in their heyday and have teamed up for a Once in a Lifetime show which is coming to Blickling Hall on Sunday July 15.

Wayne, Jay and Jimmy Osmond will be performing hits including their 1974 number one Love Me For A Reason, Let Me In from the previous year, along with the wilder Crazy Horses which made number two in 1972.

Jimmy, when he was Little Jimmy Osmond, was also top of the pops in 1972 with his Long Haired Lover from Liverpool.

Heartthrob David Essex shot to fame in the musical Godspell before a string of hits in the 1970s and 80s.

His chart-toppers were Gonna Make You a Star in October 1974 and Hold Me Close the following September.

Other hits from the twinkle-eyed singer are Rock On, Lamplight, Oh What a Circus, Silver Dream Machine and A Winter's Tale.

The Bay City Rollers, with lead singer Les McKeown were followed by a tartan clad army of screaming fans as they launched a string of hits between 1971 and 76 which all made the top 10.

Bye Bye Baby and Give a Little Love made number one, but other hits were Summerlove Sensation and the singalong Shang-a-Lang.

It is the latest event to be announced in the summer concert season at Blickling which also includes Bryan Ferry on July 13 and a sell-hour 10-act party night on July 14. The second weekend sees former Genesis front man Peter Gabriel on July 21 followed by Madness on July 22.
