Happy birthday to The Marvel, celebrating a terrific 10 years at The Loft in Norwich.
Originally an innocent dream of now-resident DJs Mark and Damien (aka Def Tex's Sure D) and good friends Rob and Nick (Dogfish) the boys teamed up to plan an underground club night playing the music that they loved, inspired by fellow long-living fortnightly club The Gas Station.
Since then, The Marvel's comic book-themed flyers have brightened up many a drab shelf around cool city stores, while live bands have added an extra slice of late-night funk on many a Friday night.
Upstairs, in the main room, a packed, friendly crowd grooves to a diverse range of sounds, from hip hop and funk, to ska, Latin, jazz and classic breaks.
Tonight's event runs from 10.30pm to 2am, entry £4.
