10 things to do this Bank Holiday Monday

With the hottest Early May Bank Holiday Monday on record forecast, there are plenty of ways to get out and bask in the sunshine. Here are 10 things you could get up to today.
1. Martham Scarecrow Festival
It's the second day of the Martham Scarecrow Festival today. Each year the village near Great Yarmouth flexes its creative muscles with weird, wonderful and wacky creations. See how many you can spot.
2. The Spirit of Beowulf Community Festival
The mysterious festival on the banks of the River Deben reaches its final day today - and is free.

With bands, Morris dancers, children's rides and entertainment, the Mendelsham Street Fayre offers a little bit of something thing everyone.
It runs from 10.30am until 5pm and also features birds of prey, a craft fair and vintage farm machinery.
Adults are £3, under 16s free.
4. Rose May Fete, Ringsfield
Held in Ringsfield, near Beccles, the Rose May Fete has a host of activities for the whole family to enjoy, with entrance just £1.
Attractions include a dog show, arena displays and live music.
5. Rumburgh Village Hall fete
Running from 11am to 5pm, the fete offers fun and games for the whole family to enjoy.
Activities include a cake stall, face painting and a raffle.
6. Dwile Flonking in Geldeston
For a slightly less orthdox bank holiday activity, head to the Geldeston Lock, where the quirky sport of dwile flonking will be played from 12.30pm.
It involves a dwile, a dribbler and a bucket of beer.
7. Lakenham Community Picnic
From 1pm until 4pm the Friends of Jubilee Park are hosting a community picnic.
Held at Jubilee Park and Community Centre, it will feature craft activities, giant games and a bouncy castle.
8. A Day Out With Thomas
Sir Topham Hatt himself - The Fat Controller - will be on hand at Sheringham Station as the North Norfolk Railway welcomes the world's most famous little engine - Thomas the Tank Engine.
Journeys are £18 (£17 cons), £12 children and under-2s free.
9. Heritage Steam Gala
Another option for steam fans -Bressingham Steam Museum is hosting a steam gala. Today is the final day of the event, so your last chance to see its attractions - from miniature steam engines to vintage locomotives.
Tickets are £13.17 (£12.26 cons), £8.63 children - under-3s free.
10. The Archdeacon's Charge and Picnic
Held in the grounds of Holkham Hall, this event will be raising money for local churches, schools, youth groups and the East Anglian Air Ambulance.
There is a 5km fun run as well as a craft market, live music and classic cars.
The event is from 10am until 3pm, £5 adults, under-18s free.
