Looking for something different to do that doesn't involve splashing the cash? Here's our guide to some of the fun and completely free activities taking place across Norfolk this July...

• Festival Too, King's Lynn Staithe Square, Saturday July 1, 8pm onwards

One of Europe's largest free festivals, Festival Too in King's Lynn brings big names in music to the region over three consecutive weekends in July. Now in its 32nd year, the opening weekend will kick off with a bang, quite literally, with a firework display and a performance by Bootleg Bee Gees.

• Norwich Vegans Summer Fayre, OPEN, Norwich, Saturday July 1, 5.30pm-10.30pm

A wide range of stalls will be featured at The Norwich Vegans fayre and several special guest speakers have also been lined up to attend. Expect ethical gifts, crafts, food, sweet treats all from local producers.

• Family Fun Day, Heigham Park, Norwich, Saturday July 1, 12pm-4pm

Plenty of fun activities will be taking place at Heigham Park in Norwich on July 1, including face-painting, cake decorating, crafts, a bouncy castle and outdoor games. There will also be a selection of hot Thai food and ice cream for people to enjoy.

• Farmers' Market, Creake Abbey, Saturday July 1, 9.30am-1pm

55 fantastic food and drink producers from across the region will flock to Creake Abbey on July 1 to supply customers with fresh seasonal produce such as meat, vegetables, fruit, cakes, dairy, beer and bread.

• The Life & Times of Carbrook Village Festival, Carbrook Village Hall, Friday June 30 to Saturday July 2, 11am-4pm

A whole weekend of fun events will be taking place in Carbrook, including a heritage presentation at the church on Friday, June 30, a fete with displays, stalls, games and refreshments at the village centre on Saturday and songs of praise on Sunday.

• Martham Fun Carnival, Martham, Friday June 30 to Sunday July 2, various times

Martham Carnival has been running since the 1980's and provides local charities and organisations with the chance to raise much needed funds. The weekend will include live music, a parade, craft stalls, a Martham's Got Talent event, beer tent, street food and other entertainment for all ages to enjoy. • Mr Hughs Beer Festival at Old Larchwood, Beachamwell, Saturday July 1, 11am-11pm

This charity event in aid of Moth in a China Shop, who help those involved in sports and health, will offer something for everyone, from live music, a raffle, children's treasure hunt, tug of war competition, karaoke and a beer tent featuring over 20 different Norfolk brewed ales and ciders as well as Pimms, wine and soft drinks.

• Festival Too, King's Lynn, Staithe Square, Sunday July 2, 1pm onwards

The second day of Festival Too will feature a New Orleans Jazz afternoon and performances by Dixiemix, Redemption and Springwood Big Band in Staithe Square.

• South Norfolk on Show 2017, South Norfolk House, Long Stratton, Sunday July 2, 11am-4pm

Loads of family attractions will be on offer at South Norfolk On Show, including live music, walkabout performers, face painting, birds of prey, drumming workshops, craft stalls, street food, beer tent and information about South Norfolk Council Services.

• Crafty Gang Craft and Gift Fayre, The Cliff Hotel, Gorleston on Sea, Tuesday July 4, 10am-4pm

Over 20 stalls will be featured at this craft and gift fayre which is now in its sixth year. Charity stalls will also be featured at the event including Sunbeams Play, who help young people with autism and ENFG who help adults with autism.

• Festival Too, King's Lynn Market Place, Saturday July 8, 6.30pm onwards

The second weekend of the free festival will see singer KT Tunstall headline as well as performances from Killamonjambo, The Extons and The Wise Naive. Sunday, July 9 will see lots of local artists play, including Mullally, Youth Killed It and Franko Fraze.

• Sea Funday, St Nicholas' Chapel, King's Lynn, Saturday, July 8, 11am-5pm

Celebrate the town's link to the sea with a traditional village-style fete, but beware there may be pirates ashore.

• Dereham Otters Summer Fete, Swanton Morely Village Hall, Sunday July 9, 11am-4pm

A range of attractions will be taking place at this fete for the entire community, including a BBQ, Afternoon tea, coffee and cake stall, pony rides, archery, tombola, children's entertainment, craft stalls, bouncy castle, teepees, skin care and a raffle.

• Open Day, Norwich Yacht Station, Monday July 10, 10am-4pm

Experienced volunteers will be giving guided tours of the wherry and talk about her history, cargoes and sailing.

• Summer Deaf Festival, The Forum, Norwich, Friday July 14, 10am-4pm

A day of celebration of everything deaf related, including services, charities, performances and workshops. Find out about services in the area, try BSL/lipreading, watch a singing choir performance and try crafts lead by deaf students. There will also be a summer art competition with two age categories, 0-16 and 16 and over.

• Life's A Beach Part 1: Latin Street Party, York Road, Great Yarmouth, Saturday July 15, 12pm-8pm

A free street party will be taking place on York Road in Great Yarmouth this July. Organised by SeaChange Arts the event will feature circus performances from Mexicans, Circa en Breve, a six strong troupe who will perform slackwire, trapeze and footjuggling. Various other entertainment will be taking place, including Latino music and Chilli Con Sala providing Cuban infused Salsa dance and demonstrations.

• Festival Too, King's Lynn Market Place, Saturday July 15, 6.30pm onwards

The final day of the festival will see 00s boyband Busted headline in the market place. Performances from Twin Wild, Etham, Amber, Flint Moore and Springwood High School will also be taking place on the day.

• Summer Fireworks, Great Yarmouth, from July 19, 8pm-10pm

Every Wednesday evening for seven weeks the skies over Great Yarmouth will be illuminated with fireworks. The fun begins on July 19 and ends on August 30. Attractions will include free live music at the Sea Life Centre Gardens from 8pm, with fireworks at 10pm. Best viewing areas include along Britannia or Wellington Pier and anywhere along the sea front.

• Fireworks, Hemsby beach, Tuesday July 25, 10pm

A free firework display will take place on Tuesday nights at Hemsby beach, starting on July 25 and running until August 29. Enjoy the fireworks from Beach Road and visit some of the shops and attractions the village has to offer before heading home.

• Holt Festival goes outdoor, Fish Hill, Friday July 28, 10.30am-6pm

A range of entertainment will be taking place including performances from Cromer & Sheringham Brass Band, Hoofbeat Street Band, magician Robert Rathbone and a show called Three Suitcases by Rhubarb Theatre which features three quirky characters that meet by chance at a train station.
