Valley Farmhouse is thought to have once been home to a farm manager, who would have overseen the work on much of the surrounding land in times gone by.

The property was then purchased by one Arthur Wordingham in 1915, and formed part of a small arable and pasture farm; it has remained in the same family ever since.

The main house, which has some exposed beams and pamment flooring, is currently made up of three reception rooms on the ground floor, together with a pantry, larder and bathroom. Upstairs there are six bedrooms, plus a cloakroom.

Renowned for its excellent shopping and restaurant facilities, it is also, of course, home to the Holt Festival and Gresham's School, with other private and state schools in the town and surrounding area.

From here it is also just four miles or so to reach Blakeney or Cley on the coast, where you then find yourself in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which is famous for its bird-watching and its seals, and where there are stretches of stunning beach and marshland.

However the buildings at Valley Farmhouse end up being enjoyed, it is nice to think of them coming to life again and giving those who stay or live there access to this fabulous part of the world.
