Each team has a nickname and the games are played with coloured clothing and white balls and are 36 overs per side, going up to 42 overs from the quarter-final stage onwards.
Last year's winners Hales Herd begin the defence of their crown against Horsford Knights on Sunday.
The final will be played at Manor Park on Sunday, September 2.
Sunday's fixtures: Zone One - Hales Herd v Horsford Knights, Lowestoft Lions v Vauxhall Mallards; Zone Two - Bradenham Bears v Old Buckenham Stags, Runcton Raiders v Downham/Stow Bombers; Zone Three - Great Melton Phoenix v Sheringham Sabres, Dereham Jaguars v Bradfield Bulls; Zone Four - Diss Mafia v Breckland Bucks (Thetford/Mundford), Topcroft Tigers v Swardeston Sharks.
