Wroxham boss Pawel Guziejko says his side are not fazed by their current situation as they look to take a step towards Ryman League survival against Cheshunt.

The Yachtsmen slipped into the bottom three for the first time this season on Thursday night as Ware beat Waltham Abbey to leapfrog them into 21st place, leaving Guziejko's men a point from safety and still holding a superior games tally over those above them.

Despite this, the Polish manager has stated his young side are still confident and are fully aware of their responsibilities to save their Step Four status.

'There is no point for us to look at the other teams around us,' he said.

'Where we are in the league will not affect our mindset; we are focussing only on ourselves, we know exactly what we need to do and I am sure that Wroxham will still be playing in the Ryman League next season. Getting a point and keeping a clean sheet last Saturday was good for us and we will keep moving forward from that against Cheshunt.'

Guziejko's focus on youth has been a constant theme this year, with players such as Sam Harty, Jack Guyton and Aaron Sanders – who scored in the 3-1 victory over Cheshunt back in December – being regular selections. And the Yachtsmen gaffer is extremely proud of the way his players, especially the younger ones in the camp, have acquitted themselves in what has been a tough campaign.

'I am proud of every single player in the team, especially the younger ones,' he said. 'They have all learnt a lot and it has been a good experience for them all, but they still have a lot to learn and they will keep on doing so as we look to move the club forward.'

Wroxham are expected to field a near identical side against the Hertfordshire outfit to the one that drew with Brentwood last Saturday, with Ross Durrant still a week away from match fitness.
