Wroxham boss Pawel Guziejko says his players are fired up and ready for the arrival of league leaders VCD Athletic.

The Yachtsmen host the hotly-fancied Kent outfit off the back of two last-gasp defeats against Thurrock and AFC Sudbury in the last week.

And Guziejko said this – and the 8-0 thumping they were handed out by VCD last time around – has given them added incentive in the build up.

'In the last two games we have played well and got no points,' he said.

'It's disappointing to give away those goals in the dying moments, but I'm pretty sure that will not be happening again. I can assure you all the players are buzzing and ready for the VCD game and they want to do the business on the pitch; we want to show them what a good team we are and get something back after that 8-0 loss earlier in the season.'

The Yachtsmen have won their last three home games on the bounce, a fact that Guziejko believes may give them the extra edge against VCD.

He added: 'Our recent form at home has been good. I have to thank the ground staff and everyone involved as the pitch is always prepared very well and it allows us to play the ball on the floor, keep possession and create chances.

'We have our style of play and this is the way we are looking to play against VCD. I am confident we will give them a good game of football and hopefully the points will be staying in Wroxham.'

Defender Ben Price is expected to miss today's game through injury.
