Wroxham have announced Norwich City legend Adam Drury as part of a new managerial team alongside coaching colleague Jordan Southgate.
The Yachtsmen lost manager Jamie Godbold and assistant Andy Reynolds to Lowestoft Town earlier this week but have moved swiftly to appoint the duo.
Drury and Southgate work full-time on the Elite Football & Education Programme at the Community Sports Foundation (CSF) and have both recently completed their Uefa B licence qualification.
Former Peterborough United left-back Drury made 361 appearances for the Canaries between 2001 and 2012, captaining City to their 2004 Division One title success and then helping Paul Lambert's squad secure back-to-back promotions from League One to the Premier League.
Wroxham finished 13th in the Thurlow Nunn Premier Division this season, following their relegation to the Eastern Counties League, the fifth tier of the non-league pyramid.
Southgate, who will be manager, works as CSF's senior football development manager, overseeing development centres for players aged six to 16, and was an academy player at Norwich for seven years before a knee injury which eventually forced him into early retirement at 21 years old.
He was in charge of Wroxham's reserves last season, who finished in mid-table in the Hadley & Ottaway Anglian Combination Premier Division.
Drury, who will be assistant manager, is head coach of CSF's Elite Football & Education Programme, which allows players aged 16 to 18 the chance to further their football development with an extensive training and fixture programme, while continuing their education with a BTEC Level Three Extended Diploma in Sport.
'I thought I'd have to wait for a couple of years but my plan was to manage the first team at Wroxham,' Southgate told the club's website. 'I've been with the club for six years and have seen the highs and the lows.
'My job is to bring the good times back to the club and recreate what makes us a special club to play for and be a part of. We've got a new junior and youth structure in place with teams from under-sevens to under-15s for the first time ever and a very successful academy set up.
'Most of our players are returning after a challenging first year but they are good players and with some additions we can push on, get in the leading pack for the season and continue our progress.'
