Wroxham put recent disappointments behind them with a fine home display against a tough VCD Athletic, writes Darren Wiseman.

Cruise Nyadzayo capped a great day with a hat-trick of high quality.

His first came on 12 minutes when, after linking well with Ross Gilfedder, as he did all day, Nyadzayo worked a chance inside the right-back to score into the left-hand corner.

Wroxham defended well and scored three goals on the counter-attack. Nyadzayo got the next as he met a Matt Halliday clearance to lob the goalkeeper.

On 62 minutes they repeated the trick, but this time it was Gilfedder who got on the end of a clearance to calmly slot home.

The Yachtsmen saved for the best for last as a combination of crisp one-touch passes saw Nyadzayo slot past the busy Niklas Frevny in the VCD goal.

The crowd of 103 left happy, although Wroxham need more performances like this one to get out of the bottom three.

Wroxham are still bottom of the table but a home win over Soham Town Rangers tomorrow evening and defeat for Thamsemead at home to Hornchurch would do the trick.
