It was the same old story for Wroxham at Trafford Park as the Yachtsmen went down bravely to defeat against Thurrock.

Thurrock were made to work hard for their victory and it was Wroxham who went closest in the first half through Ross Gilfedder's deflected cross.

Thurrock finally showed their play off credentials when they took the lead on 63 minutes through substitute Michael Pindy, who fired home from close range.

The Yachtsmen kept the visitors honest as they kept going and created chances, but Thurrock put the game to bed on 80 minutes in controversial circumstances. The ball was played in to the area to unmarked sub Jack Barham and all the Yachtsmen defenders expected an offside flag, which didn't come and Barham slotted home.

Once it dawned on Wroxham that the goal stood they were disbelieving with Mallardo earning a yellow card for his protests.
