Five teams will take part in a new women's league organised by the Norfolk Cricket Board.
The Thetford Grammar School League starts this Sunday, with teams from Winterton, Fakenham, Garboldisham, Norwich and Lowestoft taking part.
Phil McGahan, bursar at Thetford Grammar School, said: 'The Norfolk Cricket Board are to be congratulated for the considerable work they are doing in developing women's cricket.
'Thetford Grammar School are keen to encourage sport at all levels and are therefore delighted to be sponsoring this new and exciting competition.'
