Wisbech Town striker Harry Limb has signed for Premier League side Burnley.

The 17-year-old has been snapped up by the Premier League side and penned an 18-month deal, with the option of an additional year, on Friday morning.

Limb was scouted by Sean Dyche's men earlier this year and travelled to the club's Gawthorpe training ground a fortnight ago. He then scored in their development side's 4-0 win over Barnsley last Saturday and was offered a contract this week.

Limb netted an impressive 22 goals in 40 appearances for the Fenmen after signing from Boston United last summer, and was subject to interest from other clubs including Swansea City – who he trained with earlier this month – and Leicester City.

It is also understood that Limb turned down offers from Football League clubs – believed to be Peterborough United and MK Dons - to sign for the Clarets, who are currently 12th in the Premier League.
