Wisbech Town bid to make it 16 matches unbeaten this afternoon – with coach Kevin Ward insisting the Fenmen are getting even stronger.

Town have jumped from 16th to sixth, five points off top spot, since Gary Setchell took over and head to Northampton Sileby Rangers looking to extend their remarkable run to six league wins in a row – even with an injury-hit squad.

'When the gaffer (Gary Setchell) took over we were 16th in the league and after Saturday's game we've gone sixth,' Ward said.

'We've had six wins back-to-back in the league, two other cup games in there, but it's a tough job when you're down to the bare bones week in, week out.

'It's another tough game but we're strong enough. Mind-set wise we're on it at the moment and fingers crossed, if we can get another couple of bodies back in then we'll be as strong as we can possibly be.

'We are down to the bare bones. We had two lads suspended and we've got injuries coming thick and fast.'
