Castle Rising recorded their first win of the Division One term with a six-run victory over Hillington.

Rising were bowled out for 140, Ollie Denton top scoring with 40 and Matt Taylor taking 6-20. At 117-4, Hillington appeared to be cruising to victory, but they collapsed to 134 all out. Sunil Anthrayose took 4-20.

Table-toppers Bircham amassed 284-3 with openers John King (45), and Liam Crompton (44) putting on 87. Collin Humphrey (unbeaten 81) and Robbie Preston (69) added 131. Bowlers Carlos Greeves (5-21) and Joe Dean (3-4) helped skittle Castle Acre for 58.

Snettisham's Adam Daniels and Gary Raines took 3-29 to help bowl Denver all out for 166. Gary Forder (61 not out) and Ryan Twiddy (75 no) knocked off the runs to complete a 10-wicket victory. Elsewhere, Shezad Ali (86 no) and Adam Hodgson (54 no and 3-31) impressed as Terrington beat Heacham by 45 runs.

Colin Edwards top scored with 46 as Downham Town thirds in Division Two reached 142-9 in their 45 overs – but they still lost by a wicket to Northwold. Ciaran Chapman's 76 inspired Holt to a 52-run triumph against Sandringham A.

Michael Hammonds' 5-22 and Anthony Ruddick's 3-31 were the catalyst for Hockwold's five-wicket success against Hospital. Chris Upton (40) and Tony Exley (38) did their best to help Swaffham seconds in their quest to beat Gooderstone. But Glen Fossey's unbeaten 35 aided his team's successful run chase and success by six wickets.

Bert Crisp (76), Jack Crisp (50) and Craig Titmash (61 not out) were the main men as unbeaten Narborough A reached 270-4. Tom Grass took 4-15 as nine-man Gayton limped to 58.

Division Three leaders Thornham maintained their unbeaten start to 2014 by beating Snettisham seconds by 11 runs. Christopher Burgess hit 76 while Peter O'Connor took 7-44.

Dersingham seconds declared on 231-3 with Dickie Sayers (56), Jamie White (67) and Bradley Gollaglee in impressive form. Fakenham thirds could only post 106. Elsewhere, Denver beat Castle Rising A by 47 runs while Bircham seconds saw off Beeston by 108 runs. Mark Riches took 6-20.
